Each Copal pendant is handcrafted to order in Guadalajara, Mexico. Please allow 10–12 weeks for production.

The Copal Barro Pendant is a sculptural clay lighting fixture created through a collaboration between PALO SANTO x Smyth House Interiors. Designed in Phoenix and handcrafted in Guadalajara, Mexico, the piece reflects the meeting of contemporary design and ancestral ceramic tradition.

Made from locally sourced barro clay, each pendant is individually shaped, carved, and hand-finished by artisans in a multigenerational ceramic workshop. The form is then fired in a traditional kiln, creating a rich matte ceramic surface with subtle variations that celebrate the handmade process.

With its bold architectural silhouette and warm natural texture, the Copal pendant functions as both lighting and sculptural object, bringing quiet drama to kitchens, dining spaces, entryways, and modern interiors.
