Description

The Taxah Dinnerware Collection is meticulously shaped by hand, fired, and smoke-finished by Female Master artisans. This process not only preserves centuries of clay-working tradition but also imbues each piece with markings that are as unpredictable and beautiful as the fire itself. Variations in color, tone, and texture are celebrated, ensuring every vessel is truly one of a kind. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted in a process that utilizes no molds, synthetic materials or dyes and takes over 20 days to complete.

Dimensions: S, M
Material: 100% natural Oaxacan clay

Shaped by both hand and nature, each piece is truly one of a kind. Please note that coloration, finishes, and dimensions may vary.

PRODUCT CARE

To ensure the longevity of your piece, hand wash using non abrasive materials and towel/air dry. Dishwasher or microwave is not recommended. Do not leave soaking in water for long periods of time.

We are proud to partner with a family-owned, small batch taller (studio) in Oaxaca, Mexico. The tradition of barro (clay) in this community dates back over 2,000 years.

Led by five sisters and one brother, the family is dedicated to the preservation of their heritage while integrating innovative, eco-friendly technologies and sustainable design. In lieu of a wood-fired kiln, they utilize one fueled by alternative energy sources. The kiln uses recycled cooking oil from local restaurants as fuel in order to reduce their environmental impact.
